Artist Project
Just last week we visited MCA Museum, actually I have been to this museum before, because my girlfriend was an intern in MCA Museum, I had the honor to see some works for free. This time my classmates and I came to the MCA museum, we took a bus to the museum, at the gate of the museum took a group photo. After entering the museum, we deposited our bags and went to the fourth floor of the museum, where most of the works were by an artist named Ana Mendieta. What impressed me most about her work was the row of cold weapons (I didn't take a picture because I stood there looking at them for a long time). When I approached the row of cold weapons, I seemed to return to the era when people were still using cold weapons, the feeling made me feel a bit suffocated.

and London)

In the MCA Museum, what impressed me most, or shocked me most, was this Photograph taken by artist Donald Rodney. According to the introduction, this photo was taken by photographer Andra Nelki a few months before artist Rodney's death. It shows the artist's outstretched hand with another of his artworks, a small house sculpture, on top. The fragile structure was made up of fragments of Rodney's skin, which had been removed when he underwent surgery for sickle cell anemia. At that time, I was shocked when I saw this work. When I first saw this work, I thought it was just paper. I see in this work the identity of the artist and his pain and racism.
